I was born in Boston, Massachusetts; where I grew up. While in Boston, I studied Literature at Harvard University. Afterwards, I went to the University of Massachusetts for my Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts. I focused much on Literature, Writing and Poetry. Later I studied Law at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. I have also served in the military for 5 years. Teaching is in my blood, so I have spent the majority of my professional life teaching in the U.S and plan to teach in China for rest of my life.;-) China is a wonderful country. I am an educational professional committed to teaching. I don’t mean to sound like a stuffed shirt, but I am very knowledgeable about many things such as cars, economics, science, finance, weapons and Geo-Political issues. I have developed interests in a variety of areas. I am an intermitant speculator in the commodities market and a long term subscriber of the Wall Street Journal. As the Chinese proverb goes; "knowledge is power" I guess I have lot of so called "power" which enables me to deliver excellent classes to my students by transferring that power to them.

CLASSES ARE FRUITFUL
My classes are fruitful.As a result of my genuine interest in my students happiness, my teaching style and my interest in their success in learning, which makes them even happier because they feel proud of themselves and good that they were able to please their parents and their teacher with their successes and excited about learning; my students have fruitful learning experiences in my class room, while at the same time having lots of fun. But of course, learning does not all take place in the class room. I am very open to having discussions with student’s parents on any issue of their choice. In fact, I very much welcome conversations with parents as those conversations often times aid me in working with their child. You will find also that your child will be asking you to review their homework for completeness and for you to “sign off” on it (give it your chop!). Once the student returns their homework this way I will review it and make notes for your information and the students. This way both you and I are tracking the student’s progress simultaneously and so able to support the students learning process the same way. Sound like a set of successful strategies? Well, they have worked pretty well for me and my students, all very dear to me, for a number of years now. |
